DIARY OF ANNE FRANK Frank, Anne, Otto Frank, Mirjam Pressler, and Susan Massotty. The diary of a young girl: the definitive edition. New York: Doubleday, 1995. Print.
The diary has been a great source of information about how Anne lived in hiding and how dangerous it was for the Jews during the war. It gave me an insight about the living standards and how different it was to their life before. Anne kept a diary that she could spill emotions and events of the day. Reading this gave me a thorough idea how a young teenage girl lived in hiding and how it affected her relationships with her family and the others in the Annexe. It also gave me an idea of how being trapped in the Annexe affected her character and personality.

This source has given me another view on how life in the Annexe was difficult. It has highlighted different aspects of life in hiding such as arguments, daily activities, the people that helped the families in hiding plus more. It was useful because it showed how Otto Frank published the book and the challenges he faced to be able to share his daughter's view of the war. Not only does it tell you about the diary that Anne wrote, it explains the war and the German invasion which is something that the book didn't go into detail about.
